Mr. Shams Shams became DMD of IDLC Finance Limited in 2021. Mr. Shams has over 25 years of experience in the banking sector. He started his career as a Probationary Officer in Eastern Bank Limited in 1996. Prior to joining IDLC, Mr. Shams served as Head of Policy & Risk Management in Standard Chartered Bank. Mr. Shams joined IDLC in 2009. He took over the role of Head of Credit and Collection in 2009. He completed his Executive MBA from the University of Dhaka. He has an M.Com and B.Com from the University of Dhaka. He is the Director of IDLC Investments Limited and IDLC Securities Limited, two wholly-owned subsidiaries of IDLC Finance Limited.

Mr. Jamal Uddin became the CEO & Managing Director of IDLC Finance Limited in 2021. Prior to this, he was the DMD & Head of Business since 2015. He has over 25 years of experience in the banking sector. Mr. Uddin joined IDLC as a Management Trainee in 1994. Prior to his current role, he served as Head of Corporate Division since 2006 being responsible for the operations of the Corporate and structured Finance Department with a special focus on term financing and syndicated fund-raising for large local and multinational corporate houses of Bangladesh. He has done his BBA and MBA from International University (Karachi Campus), Missouri, USA.

Mr. Nurul Karim Patwery took over the role of the Head of Treasury in 2019. Mr. Nurul Karim Patwery started his career at IDLC in 2006 as Probationary Officer. During his career, he has worked in every wing of the treasury function at IDLC. Mr. Nurul Karim Patwery has over 15 years of industry experience in Treasury and Relationship Management with local and international counterparts over the passage of his career. Prior to taking over the role of Head of Treasury, he has served as ‘Head of Money Market Operations’ in the same organization. Mr. Nurul Karim Patwery completed his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting & Information Systems (AIS) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting & Information Systems (AIS) from the University of Dhaka.

He previously took over the role of Head of Corporate Division of IDLC Finance Limited in 2015 and has over 21 years of experience in the corporate sector. He is a highly experienced leader with successful track record in Corporate Banking, Credit Risk Management and Sales/marketing activities for private enterprises especially in Banking and FIs. Mr. Ahmed joined IDLC in the Corporate Division in 2010 as Head of Structured Finance & Head of Corporate – Dhaka Region. Prior to joining IDLC, Mr. Ahmed served as Head of Syndication & Structured Finance in Dhaka Bank Limited. He started his career in Singapore Airlines in 1995 in Sales & Marketing. He stepped into the banking industry as a Credit Analyst through National Bank Limited and went on to work in One Bank Limited. He completed his MBA from London University of Technology and Research in 1998 and Master of Commerce in 1991.

Mr. Abul Ahsan Ahmed joined IDLC in 2005. He served as the Head of Discretionary Portfolio Management of IDLC Investments Limited and leading the team since 2007. From 2020, he worked as the Head of Portfolio Management of IDLCIL. He has been working for the company as a fund manager for the last nineteen (19) years. Prior to joining in IDLCIL, he worked for Bangladesh Paper Mills Limited and United Capital Limited for three (3) years. He got his certification as derivatives trade from National Stock Exchange of INDIA (NSE). Mr. Ahsan completed his Graduation and Masters in Management and achieved his MBA degree majoring in Finance and Banking. He attended a number of capital market training and seminars at home and abroad.
Isa Mahmud Shovo

Mr. Shovo has extensive experience in structured finance, syndication, and green financing. Since joining IDLC in 2013, he has successfully led major financing transactions and advised on mergers, acquisitions, and valuation services for prominent clients. He is a key expert in sustainable finance, focusing on innovative financial solutions. Prior to IDLC, Mr. Shovo served as Senior Principal Officer at Dhaka Bank Limited, where he specialized in structuring syndicated finance projects and conducting financial modeling. He holds an MBA from the Institute of Business Administration and a BSc from North South University.

Mr. Rashid joined the Investment Banking team of IDLC in 2011. Through 14 years of experience of working in the industry, he has become one of the most seasoned Investment Bankers in the industry through proven experience in leading some of the most prestigious and first of its kind deals. Mr. Rashid’s experience is diversified with transactions encompassing several sectors including Telecom, Pharmaceuticals, Engineering, RMG and Textile. He has worked as the Key Lead for several groundbreaking transactions including the biggest IPO of Robi-Axiata and the largest ever telecom M&A, the merger of Robi Axiata with Airtel Bangladesh. He has also played an instrumental role in the largest acquisition in pharmaceutical sector, Acquisition of Sanofi Bangladesh by Beximco Pharma. Rashid is a CFA and FRM charterholder. He has completed BBA (Major in Finance) from University of Dhaka and Executive MBA from Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka.

He has extensive experience in managing the operations of merchant bank spanning from risk management and process improvement to team development. He started his career in the then merchant banking division of IDLC Finance Limited in 2009 as Junior Officer. Mr. Nabeel has completed his MBA with major in International Business from University of Dhaka and BBA with major in Finance and Accounting from Southeast University.
